Racing vs Tigre
League champions Racing Club continue to deflate their performance. Last Sunday, they played a poor game and ended up losing 2-0 at Tigre, which means the team will be knocked out of the Superliga Cup unless the team win by three goals at home (or 2-0 to decide the tie on penalties). Racing is now on five winless games, having drawn four of them. However, La Academia hasn’t lost any of their last 16 home encounters, winning ten and drawing six on regular time.
Tigre continues to improve under boss Nestor Gorosito and they took a big step towards the Superliga Cup’s semi-finals last weekend when beating Racing Club 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Walter Montillo and Federico Gonzalez. The team succumbed to a single defeat in their last ten competitive games, with six wins and three draws in that spell. On away turf, El Matador is on six matches unbeaten, having won five of them.
Tigre will have important missings in midfield but they are always dangerous while Racing, the league champions and one of the best attacking teams in the league, needs at least a 2 goals to win to advance. I can definitely see goals here.
